Doctor Insta is an innovative telemedicine platform providing online consultations across various medical disciplines such as general medicine, pediatrics, psychology, and nutrition. A Harvard graduate with a background in finance and investment, the platform was inspired by Munjal's personal experience with telemedicine in the United States. Recognizing the potential to address India's healthcare accessibility issues, especially in remote areas with low doctor-to-patient ratios, Doctor Insta was launched in 2015 to offer a digital solution for on-demand healthcare. Doctor Insta operates on a unique business model that includes both B2C (Business-to-Consumer) and B2B2C (Business-to-Business-to-Consumer) verticals, providing a gross margin as high as 70%. Patients can access consultations either on a pay-per-use basis at INR 440 per session or through an annual subscription priced at INR 2,500, which also allows adding up to three dependents at no extra cost. This model has proven successful, with the platform engaging more than 100 doctors and covering over 200,000 employees and their families through its B2B2C vertical. The platform has made significant strides in the telemedicine sector, conducting over 4,000 consultations daily and serving more than 1 million users. With over 500,000 app installations, Doctor Insta has expanded its reach across India, collaborating with over 150 companies to provide accessible healthcare services.
